As the Creative Director and Co-Founder of Flywheel Sports, I’m thrilled to introduce you to the Fly Blog! This blog will give you a behind-the-scenes look into all things Flywheel. From instructor spotlights and success stories to the latest gear and hottest tunes.
It’s been quite the journey since we opened our doors almost four years ago – and it’s amazing to see how far we’ve come. I remember the opening of our very first studio in February 2010 and my partner Jay turning to me and asking, “Is this really going to work?” (Of course I knew it would!). Now, with 25 studios in the US (and growing), two locations internationally and four “Flywheel at Sea” studios, we’ve truly taken indoor cycling to the next level.
Just when you thought you’ve experienced everything that Flywheel has to offer, we’re giving you more. We hope you’ll take the time to read this blog and share your personal stories with us. Who knows, maybe the next post will be about YOU! Keep Flying and just remember…#NEVERCOAST.

“The vibe in my class is intense, focused and spiritual.”
“I play all genres with an emphasis on mash-ups, and remixes of older songs because they don’t write ’em like they used to! That being said, I’m a huge Biggie fan.”
When I’m not teaching:
“I’m usually in my apartment with my laptop browsing YouTube for new mash-ups and remixes. Or, you can find me hanging out with my twin daughters, Kate and Rachel.”
The coolest thing that happened in my class:
“Teaching a private ride to celebrate the latest album release from Phoenix! We premiered the album in a Flywheel class for Phoenix friends and family. It was pretty amazing.”
My go-to style:
“When I’m not teaching, you can find me in a pair of cropped jeans, oxford shoes (with a platform!) and a cashmere tank top (for winter).”
IN ONE WORD:
My friends describe me as: A good listener.
If I could teach class with one celebrity it would be: Rupert Friend from Homeland (however, I’m not sure I could keep it together!).
I never leave my house without: iPhone!
If I could travel to one place in the world I would go to: Italy.
“My mantra? Let water seek its own level.”
