Fueling up before Flywheel is a must…but what you eat and when you eat it will affect how you feel in class. When clipping in or pulsing it out at the barre, we should always check in with ourselves and our bodies. Before your next ride or pulse, think about what your body needs to preform and even more so, how long it needs to digest. Easily digestible sugars found in fruit, proteins in nuts, and carbs in whole grains should help alleviate any sign of 6 a.m starvation and keep you moving forward one song at a time!
To help you get on the right track, I shared two of my go-to recipes to fuel up and stay satisfied during class. Whether it’s something savory or something sweet, these two light bites will power your day!
Parfait Power Up
1/3 cup Greek yogurt
1/3 cup granola
1 tbsp almond butter
a sprinkle of cinnamon
a drizzle of honey
1 slice of Ezekiel raisin bread
1/3 of an avocado mashed
1/2 tbsp olive oil
a sprinkle of red pepper flakes
