c9cb48be-cafc-465e-94b1-9e626cbaa3e4-1

We all know the mental and physical benefits of working out, but what you put into your body to give you fuel is just as important. Rather than grabbing an unhealthy office treat to satisfy a craving, or worse, heading to class on an empty stomach, choose the right pre-FLY fuel to help you finally achieve that Power Score you’ve been aiming for. Nourishing your body with the right foods – at the right time – can significantly boost your energy so that you get the most out of your class. Whether you’re part of our Dawn Patrol crew, a lunch-time frequent FLYer, or an evening pulser whose version of “hitting the barre” calls for spandex and a resistance band, these  healthy snack suggestions will be just what you need to #nevercoast.

It’s Marathon Week: Flywheel Instructor Kara Bocchi Is Ready to RUN

kara-marathon-blog-main580

As a native New Yorker,  running the NYC Marathon has always been on my bucket list. It wasn’t until after I ran it for the first time back in 2011 that I realized it would become a yearly tradition.  After graduating NYU’s Tisch school of the Arts, my love of performance and dance helped me find my way into the fitness industry and led me to complete the certifications necessary to become a trainer. I was passionate about learning the mechanics behind the way the body moves and the progression of a healthy being and lifestyle. These things drew me to Flywheel, where I have been an instructor for nearly two years. Continue Reading

“What A Difference A Year Can Make.”

colin-success-story-main580

What a difference a year can make. You can change where you live, what you do, who you’re with… you can change anything. When Flywheel opened one year ago in Boston’s historic Back Bay, it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time in my life. I had been working seasonal jobs on and off for a few years since graduating college. However, as the summer sailing season came to a close, I decided it was time to search for more permanent employment.  That’s when I saw the posting for Club Coordinator for Flywheel Boston. benandtonya-boston-main580

My relationship with Flywheel began last year as what I thought was going to be a one-time deal. But shortly after panting and sweating my butt off, I discovered it would be more than just a one-off love affair.

Ben and Tonya Mezrich were two of the first riders to saddle up at Flywheel Boston just over a year ago. What began as a trial class during the studio’s grand opening soon became a routine that brought them closer and helped them each shed a few pounds along the way.

My Vehicle to Mental and Physical Happiness Was Flywheel

noelle-kelly-flywheel-texas-main580

“I’m SO tired! I want to go down a size. I want legs like that girl. I’m too short. I wish my arms were more toned…”

We’ve all been there, thinking they very same thing. Sure, it’s easy to be down on yourself,  but doesn’t it get exhausting?  At 24 years-old, the adjustment of moving back to Dallas after two years of teaching English in East Asia was overwhelming for Noelle Frost. Facing a reality that was much different than the experiences she’s had so far, Noelle knew there was something she had to do to bring herself back to her center. This newfound determination came as result of years of watching her father, pro golfer David Frost’s discipline and consistency on the course. She knew it was time to be proactive about her happiness. Flywheel Texas has become one of Noelle’s “beloved addictions” and has played a major roll in her positive mental transformation.
