By May 3, 2017 May 15th, 2017 No Comments

Hello Brooklyn! With Flywheel Williamsburg officially open, we asked rockstar instructor KATE HICKL to share her favorite places to dine, drink, and explore in the neighborhood. Your FLY and avocado toast game will never be the same…

Where to get a cup of joe:
Devocion: super chill Colombian coffee spot on Grand and Wythe Street. Located in an old warehouse with tons of natural light, comfy sofas, and a vertical indoor garden–prepare to walk in, and never leave.

Freehold BK: Has everything from coffee, tea, burgers, and brunch. A perfect indoor/outdoor spot for doing work during the day and/or meeting up with friends on the weekend.

Sweatshop: super cool, Australian-run coffee shop–and right across from Flywheel!)Pro tip: get the cappuccino and avocado toast.

Where to stretch:

Modo Yoga: Brand new heated yoga studio just a few blocks away down on Metropolitan. They have a beautiful studio with classes all day long, locker rooms, and free tea! Perfect for a post-FLY stretch.

Where to fuel:

Diner: Amazing food and drinks (note: menu changes weekly) with a cool atmosphere. Think retro railcar look!

Loosie’s Kitchen: southern fare and cocktails in a funky space (has a great outdoor patio space.) Pro tip: walk through the bar in the front to the back restaurant. It’s the kind of place you have to know about.

Marlow & Sons: super quaint, wooden communal tables and farm-fresh. I go for the oysters and brick chicken!

Four Horsemen: wine bar with small plates. Super tiny and cozy spot just down the street from Flywheel.

Radegast Hall: huge beer hall with an indoor/outdoor vibe, live music, pretzels, beer, wine, bratwurst, and burgers. What more could you want?

Where to cheers to your PR:

Loosie’s Rouge: Downstairs and cozy, house-made cocktails, 90s hip-hop, outdoor space, and hammocks outside. This is going to be your summertime spot.

Rooftop at the Wythe Hotel: indoor and outdoor bar with great drinks, small bites, awesome music, and best view of Manhattan!

Torq and Tacos, anyone?

Donna: House-made cocktails, DJ, and tacos!
