  1. Customizable Challenges

You don’t need to be a seasoned cycler to thrive at Flywheel; our classes are designed to fit your specific fitness level through the all-important resistance knob—or Torq knob, as we call it. This part of the bike is how you alter how much resistance you feel as you pedal—turning the knob right makes it tougher to pedal, and turning it left makes it easier.

Your instructor will help set the pace and suggest how to set your resistance level based on the type of ride and how it varies by interval. Ultimately, you are in control of your ride and can modify your pace and resistance based on your skill level. If you need a break, simply slow your pace or lighten your resistance. Our cycling classes were expertly designed to be a great workout for you, precisely as you are, and the technique, skill, and improvement will come with time.

  1. Low-Impact Cardio

High-intensity interval training (HIIT) can help you get in excellent shape, but opting for running or HIIT circuits can wreak havoc on your joints. A Flywheel ride has the same heart-pounding, muscle-strengthening benefits without the discomfort of a high-impact sport. Cycling can also help fight joint pain by working the muscles and tendons around your knees, hips, and ankles to build stability and strength around these sensitive areas.

Our cycling classes will help you track your performance metrics so you can monitor your progress over time. These stats are private and intended to help you set specific target goals. For an even bigger push to reach your personal bests, our rides feature races and a stadium leaderboard—the TorqBoard—to see how you rank in your studio’s community. Participation is optional!
