Hydration, hydration, hydration! I am a water junkie! I always have water with me and drink it throughout the day. Water will keep your energy levels high resulting in keeping you sharp all day long. (Fun fact: A glass of cold water first thing in the morning will help wake you up better than coffee.)
I have a smoothie every morning using frozen berries, a banana, almond milk, spinach and Raw Meal protein powder. The protein and vitamins keep me full and energized to tackle my early morning classes.
Hard boiled or in a breakfast taco, I eat them every morning as my second breakfast. (Have I mentioned that I turn into the incredible hulk when I’m hungry?) Eating every few hours and getting enough protein makes sure the hulk stays at bay.

This is my post-workout go-to. It has everything you need to restore energy and helps reduce inflammation which is crucial in allowing your body a speedy recovery. Plus, it kind of tastes like Tang.
I eat them day and night! They provide good fat and they taste delicious too! My biggest weakness is guacamole – I will eat it while drinking coffee- true story.
Carob Spirulina Chunks from Whole Foods:
I know, they don’t sound the most appetizing, but these little nuggets are so yummy and they give you the boost you need when you feel the afternoon slump coming on. Additionally, they are also packed with all the good vitamins and nutrients.
My indulgence… CHEESE!
Put it on a shoe and I might try it. I love, love, love, cheese. I allow myself to indulge but make sure I am enjoying in moderation. I am a firm believer that it is ok to enjoy the foods you love but to always be mindful and watch your portions.
