From helping our FLYFam shed inches and pounds to giving them the confidence and mental strength to overcome challenges, the benefits of riding and pulsing go way beyond the studio — they live in the body, heart, the mind, and the spirit. Motivation.
At Flywheel, it’s a word we like to use a lot. To get some intel on what motivated our brand refresh, we sat down with our fearless leader, Flywheel Founder and Creative Director Ruth Zukerman. Some people run marathons… and others create them. New York City rider Stephanie Golden turned her passion into a mission when she discovered that she loved taking back-to-back (to back to back…) Flywheel classes. Not only did riding help increase her fitness level, but it’s also helped her raise money for several charities she holds close to her heart. Read on for her story.

Amy Sterner Nelson of Seattle and Jenny Timpani of Sunnyvale both turned to Flywheel at pivotal points in their lives. For Amy, it was wedding preparation that first drew her to our Seattle studio and, since then, she credits the workout for keeping her fit and healthy through throughout her first pregnancy (she’s currently expecting baby number two!). And after not working out for over a year, Jenny knew she needed to face reality and rediscover her motivation to get healthy.

In December of 2013, a friend invited me to my first Flywheel class. I thoroughly enjoyed it, so I purchased a five-pack right off the bat. One afternoon after class, Jenna Bertram, a Flywheel and FlyBarre instructor, encouraged me to sign up for the upcoming six-week FlyBarre Challenge. I didn’t know anything about FlyBarre and hadn’t even peeked through the studio window to witness a class in progress.
